Once again, we’ve begun our annual migration back to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Along the way, we encountered some unusual wildlife and discovered many beautiful landscapes. This video includes scenes from several of the places we visited. Below is a list:
• Fly fishing along the Colorado River
• A scenic BLM campground in the Virgin River Canyon
• The majestic Vermilion Cliffs
• Rock formations that resemble giant mushrooms
• Stone houses built in the 1930s
• A fearless roadrunner and a group of marauding Gambel’s quail
• Climbers striking poses on the slopes of Picacho Peak
• Owl Canyon – a narrow slot canyon near Las Vegas
• The Glen Canyon Dam area
• The lush and unexpected Hanging Gardens
The trip back to Wisconsin led us across southern Utah, where we had the opportunity to spend visit some stunning parks and witness magnificent scenery along the way. In this video, you'll catch glimpses of Zion National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Bears Ears National Monument, and Valley of the Gods. Oh yes, and a very scary trip up the Moki Dugway.
Lake Mead is my favorite place to camp in the spring. In this video my Daughter and two grandchildren, Rikki and Riley, spend a week camping with us at the Callville Bay Campground. Join us as we explore the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
